Bubba’s new toy…
As I mentioned in the earlier post I broke down and bought a new camera for my little photography hobby. It is a Nikon 12.3 megapixel digital SLR Camera, the D5000. Many websites had a deal going on them as a bundle with a zoom lens (55-200mm), a carrying case, and a new tripod, all for under $1000. I snatched it up off of the Best Buy website (my favorite place to shop) and it should be here by Thursday.
The camera is loaded with features but I am more excited about the sports burst mode that takes pictures at 4 frames per second. My son is an avid baseball player on a select team and I love to get action shots of him playing ball. Unfortunately my little auto-focus Canon camera does not capture the action as clearly as I would like it. We have a tournament scheduled for this weekend so I am hoping to get a chance to take my new toy out for a spin!
